The factory radio in the car was barely able to be heard even when the volume was maxed out. I installed an aftermarket headunit today, and I got audio from every speaker but the drivers front. If I crank the volume WAY up you can hear a little tiny bit of sound from the speaker but thats about it. The car has the Active Speaker setup and I haven't bypassed any amplifiers. I know there is an amp under the rear deck, but is there also one for the front speakers that I should know about?

if you have the rear amp you most likely have the front amp setup also. pull the deck (takes five mins on the s13.. dunno bout the s14). Pull the door panel (takes 10 mins max on s13 dunno bout the s14) and hook wires direct. If that works then you should wire new 14g cable through the door feed to the deck and bypass that amp. Its probably burned out and if it's a decent Head unit then it will sound better anyway. Just remember to do it on the other side too so its not unbalanced sounding.J

I got a similiar problem, but I have my right front now working. But the funny thing is that when I put pressure on the left door panel (where you can put your arm at, right behind the power window switch) It would work. I took out the amp relay on the left door and replace it but it still does not work. How am I suppose to fix it?Thank you
