No LEDs on "unlock" button?

Hey everyone.

Quick question: why are there no LEDs behind the "unlock" half of the automatic locking button on the interior of the car? It seems a little strange to leave that out. The "Lock" half has an LED, but the "Unlock" half does not. At night, it's hard to find the unlock button without an LED illuminating it.

I thought it may have just been that the LED was out of the driver's side, but the same thing is on the passenger's side: no LED.

Quite honestly, though, I'm not even sure it's LED. It gives off an orange glow. Should the "Unlock" be illuminated?

I noticed this also when I purchased the car. I agree it's kind of odd. I just know where the button is now

no to jack..but heres a better one.....the glove box light only goes on when the headlights are on!...try go to your car tonight....dont start it or nuttin' just open the glove box....nada...dark!...then hit the headlights...stupid huh?..im gonna by pass the light to the "always on" cig lighter in the storage box..and use a spring pin switch in the glove box to trigger it when its open...headlight or no headlight...

Yea man. I've noticed that too. It looks akward. The top half is illuminated and the bottom half is dark. I wonder what the reasoning behind that is.
