no knob will fit my short throw?

ok so i got a B&M short shifter from enjuku used like over a year ago anyway long story short is all B&M shifters for a 240 the same thread pitch cause i cant get any shift knob with the stock thread pitch to fit it i called b&m they said its 10mx1.25 and so did carisma. The threads arnt striped or anything either idk what to duhhh ughhh. Also my friend had a B&M shifter on his 240 and his knob would work and it was 10mx1.25 but wouldnt fit mine does anyone have any ideas?

go to a hardware store and purchase a nut with the same exact specs and try to thread it onto the shifter.if it doesn't fit, then the threading is wrong.. though i doubt that's the case.

why won't it fit? shifter diameter too big, too small, or just not threading? borrow your friends' shifter and see what happens.
