Hi everyone, a new guy here, any help will be highly appreciated, here is my car's (Altima 2009 S, 4DR.) problem:
All of sudden, it says no key detected, googled and followed what the tutorial instructed: 1) tapped the steering lock module, didn't work. still no key detected, 2) removed break-away bolts, and pushed the shaft of the module down, and pushed start button at same time, still no key detected. Totally no idea what wrong with the car now, watched quite a few videos, mostly as long as they removed lock module and push down the shaft, it's at least allow you to start your car once.
I tried to list some other possible causes, but not sure, such as: 1) the PCB in the module is down, so needs a new module; 2) the steering lock fuse is broken. (either the one in the fuse box under engine hood, or the one at driver side, or both); 3) battery fuse box is broken; 4) the neutral safety switch sensor is broken. (but will it still allow me to turn from "lock" to "acc" if it's the case?
Please kindly let me know if any thoughts, thanks again.
