no injector pulse

I just bought a 1989 240 with a ka24e, which hasn't been ran in a couple of years. The timing chain guide was destroyed, so I replaced all the timing components. My problem is, no injector pulse. I have searched the forums and found several threads on this subject, but have not quite found what I was looking for. If the crank angle sensor in the dizzy is bad, will I still get spark at the plugs? I am getting plenty of fire at the plugs, but no pulse. I am new to nissan(as you can plainly tell) and would appreciate any input you guys may have.
