Cehck for power to the injector with the key on. the injectors get power from a relay not the ECM. The ecm only grounds them.

The ecm decides to fire the injector based on crank angle sensor input.

I got that but did you use a volt meter and see if it is even getting power to one of the leads? All the noid light tells you is if the ECM is pulsing it ,providing it has power. You need to establish weather or not it has power.

thanks for phrasing that so much better bro.

sounds like you are not getting the ground from the ecm? you now need to check that the ecm is getting the signal from the crank sensor. do you have a lab scope?(i know its a longshot) or a scan tool?

You need to be able to check the crank angle sensor input to the ecm, the only way to do that is with a oscilliscope. A volt meter will not work to determine is the number 4 pulse is getting to it.

You could pull the distributor cap off and then the rotor and finallay the plate under the rotor and look at the pick up wheel in there and make sure there is nothing covering any of the holes on it. dont remove the wheel and be carfull with it as it is delicate. If you see a spider web or something else covering some of the wholes wipe it off and recheck the car.

Then you will probably need to pay some one to do the pulse check with a scope.

It could be thats what you need to determine. ok set the scope up as follows, 5 volts per division and 20ms per division. you should have 4 wires coming off your distributor. 1 is power and 1 is ground and the other 2 are your 360 and 180 signals. these are the 2 you want to check while the car is running. At this point if your roomy has the meter he will know what he is looking at and be able to determine that something doesnt look right.

I am spending more time here to keep me away from spending money on my own 240 right now. I have been looking at the tein catalog and really really like the driving spec type flex dampner kit and the EDFC control kit...[tongue hanging from mouth and drool dripping on my lap type looking] I have also been fantasizing about the BRM SS exhuast as well. But unfortunitly my wife has issues with me buying anything more for it right now so I need something to do to keep me away from the car.
