Hello all, first time posting. I bought a 84 4x4 kc with 80,000 original miles and my wife and I have been restoring it.
I had an incident where it wouldn't idle but it went away. I drove it all over maybe 100 miles at modest speeds and rpm.
I had no problems until we parked it while trimming a tree, when I went to crank it the gremlin returned and it wouldn't idle anymore and its still that way. It has fuel and the pump is working, I found some bad vacuum lines and fixed them , still no luck. I'm planning on getting a Weber given this carb is 35 years old. Anyone have any thoughts?
It will run if I hold the accelerator but you smell a little gas and it runs rough. It just blows my mind how it went good to bad so quick.

Well I put the Weber on yesterday and couldn't be more pleased! No more carb problems.
