hey guys I have a nissan 240sx 1992 with aftermarket intake, my rpm moves up and down at times all the way down and the car turns off, and also my cooling fan it's always on is this suppose to be like this ,

yeah, the fan is mechanically driven so it should always be on. as for idle hunting...try pinching off the iacv hose to see if she stalls.also, monitor maf voltage(if you have a multimeter) while the idle is hunting.vac leaks can cause this sort of thing too.when was a good factory tune-up done?

check your coolant temp sensor connection. I am assuming your saying your secondary electric fan is on. when the car goes into coolant sensor failsafe it turns on the fan since it doesnt know the actual coolant temp.

nissan cap, rotor, and wires. ngk v-power plugs(no need for platinum or iridium, v-power is a great copper plug).
