No help in Interior forum: Want to install back up camera in 08 G35x

Hey how's it going everyone. New to the G35 side of the house. Used to own an M35x.

About to purchase a 08 G35x. Went to go see it and it doesn't have a back up camera.

Did alittle searching around and saw some old post on this issue.

Anyone have an up to date link or experience they can share with me. what are my options as far as parts and price ranges?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Was the backup camera an option in '08 as part of the Bose / Nav package? If the car you're looking at doesn't have the package then adding it would be a major job - IMO. Like, needing to upgrade the entire AV system to BOSE + Nav complete with all those components, wiring harnesses, interior body parts (and even exterior for the camera). Big job... Maybe you could find a part-out '08 somewhere as a source, but again, so many pieces involved.

I would imagine there are aftermarket kits that could work but I don't know anything about them.

If you like that car you may need to go "old-school" (like back all of 8 years) and use your mirrors and look over your shoulder.
