Well I've been trying to use the heater this past week for the 1st time since I went SR swap, and I'm getting nothing but ice cold air. Now this would have been great during the summer, but by the time I finish my hour drive to work in the morning, my fingers and toes are frozen.

I know the heater worked fine when I had the KA, so it's probably not the actual climate control unit. And I'm no expert on anything relating to air conditioning or heaters, so I'm not really sure what to look for. Any ideas? If I have to take it to a shop to be worked on, I'd rather have a good idea of what might be wrong, just so I won't get screwed over.

Since the the blower is working, correct me if i'm wrong, I assume the problem lies in your core. Are 100% sure you have the lines going into the core corectly? I'm not sure but if you have them backwords the coolant may not be getting in there, i.e. it may only flow one way.

Also, is the car heating up properly? Another thing is that the core may be clogged but its hard to tell since this is the first time you have used heat since the swap. Who knows something may have gotten lodged in the when u did the swap. You could try to reverse-flush the system.

I'll have to check the hoses going to the core, I was unaware that they could be connected backwards.

Yes, the car heats up properly and the blower functions, just no heat. So I'll check the lines later this evening and if that's not it, guess I'll have to assume it's the heater core?

bleed the coolant system. if there is air in it then your core will not function properly.

one thing that a lot of people forget to do when they refill the coolant is to turn the heater on full hot. It opens the valve going to the heater core. I forgot to do that in the fall when i replaced the radiator, and when winter hit, I was getting cold air.

When you check your hoses, the top one in the firewall should go to the one from the opposite side of the motor. The lower firewall hose should go to the one next to your intake manifold.
