no heat

I had a strange problem pop up the otherday. I started the car and the temp popped right up to operation right away, but no heat inside. I verifyed that the heater core is not stopped up, pulled the thermostat and still the temp popped up right away but no heat is it possible the water pump is not pumping, the belt is still attached any other ideas? It is cold here and would like to have heat.

I would say check out the water pump. thats a big possability

Make sure u have hot heater hoses-both in & out. If not hot on both the heater cotrol valve could be the problem, or what controls it. what kind of vehicle R we Talking about?
