I am fuzzy about the workings of the heater core. I understand enough to know that coolant runs from the hot engine into the interior cabin and runs through the heater core. By what i can rationally fathom, the heater core is like a radiator, blowing the heat from the coolant into the car. So when i try to understand why my girls 240 has no heat it doesnt make sense to me. Booth upper radiator hoses are hot. Coolant is flowing. When the heater is turned on the air blows inside, dependant on the power you choose. So why is their NO heat. Also the car occasionally overheats when sitting, but only occasionally.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for the millionth time guys

the thermostat could be occasionally sticking or you might have a bad HVAC unit. other than that im not really sure.

well you could be low on coolant. try checking to see if you have a leak anywhere.
