Hear is the deal. Car running for 20 minutes, temp gauge normal, in the middle. Blowing cold air. Top hose is hot, and bottom hose is cold. I opened the cap to try and let any air bubbles escape, it is running out, and hot. Overflow bottle half full. Please help????

Oh yeah, the outside fan is not running either. Just noticed something weird. It will blow hot when I rev the motor and leave it at least 3k rpm. As soon as as I release the accelerator and leave it at idle, it blows cold again??? The lower hose is now hot also

Wow. Maybe it needs a little cleaning and maybe the thermostat is screwed. Probably not since the temp gauge shows it is working.

My G35 04 was doing the exact same thing. Just got it back from the dealer last week where they did a complete radiator flush and refill (150 bucks) now it works like it should. They told me I had air in the system, another local mechanic told me prior it sounded like air in the system,I tried to get the air out myself but failed. Now the heat will drive you out of the car. LOLHope this helps.Dan

If we knew where the bleeder valve was, if there even is one, you would have saved 150 clams, and I would have heat. Unfortunately no one on this site seems to know where it is

Coolant Refill Article

Hey guys I took some time to put up an article about replacing the coolant, showing the ESM description of the bleeder location. Another active discussion about this I plan on adding some pictures next time I take my camera to work.

Thanks Steve. I found it, and took it off to start the procedure. When I went to put it back on it fell behind the engine between a bracket and the transmission. I have no way of getting to it. I tried everything. Will have to wait till Monday and go to the dealership and get another one. Luckily Its Sat. and I have my wifes car %$$#@!

That sucks, you might want to jack the front end up and climb under there and search for it. I really don't know if dealers usually stock that part (yea they should, but they are sold so infrequently that Infiniti calls back things like that all the time. More likely than not it fell and hit the rear splash shield, its a pretty straight shot down from there. It may have gone the other way towards the exhaust manifold or the rear coolant bypass tube.

Good luck with your hunt.

uh oh. I hope your wrong. I dont feel like jacking my car up in 10 degree weather. I unfortunately have limited warm dry space. There are only 2 Infinity dealers here in the Milwaukee area, not a big seller here I guess. Thanks for the support.

Actually I did know where the bleeder valve was, took it off fluid came out. Squeezed the top hose to push out air etc. etc. but it still took the stealership to get it to work properly. The good thing for me is, the dealer I bought it from paid the bill.

Im trying to get the jack out so I can jack up the car and look for that frikin bleeder valve I dropped onto the transmission behind the engine compartment. How do you get it out of the base, or whatever it is attached to.

This worked for me once, might help you. I had dropped something down around the engine, couldnt find it. I took my shop vac and reversed it so it blew out air and I stuck the hose down around the engine and it worked, it blew the item out onto the ground. Im sure you could use a leaf blower, or even a garden hose it weather permits.

Getting under your car using the factory provided jack is a very dangerous idea. That jack is designed to only raise the vehicle to remove and install a flat tire. Use a jackstand and a floor jack if you have access to one if not this is not something that should be done in any other way.

Yea I was thinking the same thing now. How do you get the jack out in case someday I may really need though? I tried ripping it out, And it is really held tight. You can only grab like an inch of it
