I need help trying to identify the root cause of my electrical issues. Well it’s a 95 240 and when I got in my car last night to leave work, my headlights didn’t come on, or the lights that light up MPH and RPM tachs. Then I got pulled over in my driveway and the nice officer let me know my tail lights weren’t work either. The brights work, turn signals and brake lights do to and the all the dash cluster as well, except for the tachs. Any help would be appreciated.

check fuses? any work done prior to the problem? is your car lowered? (wiring harness in driver front wheel well?) do the yellow corner lights work? maybe the switch on the steering column?

Fuses all look good. The previous owner put the alarm in, have had the car a year and a half with no known problems there. No not lowered.I have an S15 front end, and everything is good there. Also today when i went to lunch and turned my alarm off, headlights and tail lights flashed.

I would assume the problem lies within the alarm system then. Find someone with some electrical knowledge and hand them a multimeter lol I wish I could help more but without being with the car in person I don't believe I can diagnose any further... :gotme Possibly an intermittent ground somewhere? Got any pictures of said car? Just for my personal...satisfaction

All my lights are back. Ended up blowing the tail light fuse. Didnt know tail lights didnt work till last night, so i think i checked every one but that one. I dont know if thats what happens or the previous owner wired somethin "custom". Thanks for the advice and help though

Yeah im pretty sure theres plenty of retarded wiring  . Thanks. The conversion is crap but i do have origin fenders for it, just gotta get enuff balls to start drilling holes in them. Worried bout how long it will take for me to destroy my front bumper after i put some coils on. I got to take car of alot of things before I worry bout that. The conversion fenders are +20 mm, so I think it would look good with the rear fenders pulled, some tastefull side skirts and on coils. Id love to put coils on it, but just had to put new tires on my truck, pay mortgage, by school clothes for the kids etc. etc. LOL. unfortunatly the car just isnt my first priority. A close second tho :yesnod
