no headlights!!!! please help!!!

so my headlights randomly stopped working. the lamp motors still work, dash lights are fine, marker lights turn on, but headlights wont...it started after i changed my alternator. my dash had the batterie light and the lil buzzer going, then engine power cut outs! it was night time and i was using my headlights, they worked fine. its an s13 blacktop by the way. well i got the alternator tested and it was producing 8.25 volts so i mod a sohc ka and put it on. now it runs at like 14.2 volts but no headlights... all my fuses are fine. i didnt mess with any wiring. wat the hell happened?????

sounds like it could be your headlight switch.

like the multi switch on the steering colum?

your lights still pop up but the lights dont turn on if that is the case i had the same prob theres some plugs on your positive battery terminal make sure there plugged all the way in it fixed my problem

yes... please check that first. Most likely it....

yeah, that was what I was referring to.. but check the terminal first.

Multiswitch failure. Same thing happened to mine.

i actually found the sourde of the problem. one of the white wires that splices into the power wire right next to the fuse box had a loose connection. i was fortunate that nothing was actually broken
