no gas?!?!?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

This morning when I started up my EX, the gas gauge is all the way on E. The trip computer showed 0 miles remaining, although I know there was at least 1/4 tank the last time I turned it off. I freaked for a minute and immediately went to fill up the tank. It only took about 11 gallons, so that was a small relief. The gauge still read E after I filled the tank though, next stop Infiniti service department. It still read empty when I arrived, but the miles till empty now read about 90 miles, it had been slowly creeping up since I filled it. Of course the tech starts the car and the gauge immediatly registers full.

He didn't have the necessary part available but ordered it for me, and said they would replace it when it arrives. In the mean time he suggested I write down mileage and make sure I know how far I've gone since the last fill so I won't get stranded somewhere.

Interesting... let us know how it goes, after the repair is done.

It's still not working correctly, so I'm glad they will replace it. On my trip it still showed I had over half a tank left but it took 13.5 gallons to fill up, I really need to just gauge by miles at this point.
