i think this was a post a while back, but i can't find it.. when i get new sparkplugs, NGK's of course, they say the gap is pre-set and not to adjust, i assume this is because most people would damage the plated tips adjusting them, i went ahead and adjusted them anyway to the right gap on my old Z..

I always check the gap and set it to .044 as well, I find they are usually off slightly, though they are close enough that if someone didn't I don't forsee a huge issue for most.

On your TT?

Should be NGK PFR6B11-11B, gapped to 0.035 for Stage 3 or so, up to 14 PSI. 0.040 would be good for stock boost.

PFR5B-11B is the OEM plug. Not terrible for stock, but if you're going to up the boost they're not adequate

My buddy got me a set of those tripple tipped spark plugs, that dont require gapping, they come standard in a model of porsche, I forget what model. but they are NGK plugs and OMG they are AMAZING, instant improvement in starting, idle, response and power, I wouldnt go any different.
These plugs are tried and true, my buddy runs him in all their shop cars, im talking huge horsepower single turbo skylines and TT skylines, as well as my friends VG32DETT, they are NGK-5509, the price he got me was bout $12 each.
