I just spent the last 4 1/2 hours pulling hoses and such to remove the plenum so I could replace the KS's............what a joy!

Good news is the hoses are in excellent shape so those don't have to be replaced. Going to check the harness and ohm the injectors tomorrow and put everything back together again.

For those thinking about doing this, a prerequisite is having the hands the size of the 130lb japanese man , otherwise, plan on taking your time pulling the hoses or save time by cutting all the hoses and replacing them, time versus expense.

Anyway back to cleaning the TB and plenum.

Happy New Year everyone!

Nothing like ringing in the New Year with ripped up hands and a sore back! The "damn spider" has caused pain for many of us, but it's worth it when your Q is back running in tip top shape.

Inside, not outside, of hoses is where to check for condition and deterioration.

Even if hoses look good TODAY,you might want to replace them all if you plan on keeping car for the long term and be done with it for 100k or 6-7 years of use, otherwise, you run into the possibility of removing the plenum again and again chasing rotton hoses as time goes on.

At the very least, change all water hoses to prevent coolant losses and possible engine destruction!

I'll make a deal with you. I'll come over and replace your hoses, and clean your plenum if you buy me some new struts!

Hell, the struts were easy compared to the plenum and all its glorious hoses. I am replacing the water hoses as that is the one that I cut to remove.

I guess I will replace all the hose with new since I already have it disassembled.
