no fuel

i've done some forum searching all day with no luck with my problem. I'm not getting power to the fuel pump. my old one crapped on me last week so i got another one this week and went ahead and replaced my walbro 255 and got a new z32 fuel filter for the car. I even swapped out the fuel pump harness since the old one was corroded sort of. I install everything and i fire her up , she starts up and then after a minute she started to misfire a little , i didnt think much of it and wanted to see if i cured the fuel problem , i put her in first i take off to the end of my driveway , and she falls on her face and dies , she cranks but doesnt start... so we rolled her back in , i pulled the line going to the fuel rail and put a bottle there so i dont spit gas everywhere , and i get no fuel. So i go back to square one and look at the harness and everythign make sure i got it right and i did. Fuel pump is not priming over when in the ON position. So i check the fuse and it looks fine. So we decided to put some leads on the pump connections itself and give the pump external power and not thru the harness on top and magically when i crank her over fuel shoots out of the hose into the bottle, I'm pretty stumped on this one. if anyone has any pics of location of the relays for my fuel pump it would be highly appreciated ,
