No fuel or spark

I just bought another 240sx this time an 89. The owner before me tried to swap from a sohc to a dohc from a 93 but was ultimately unsuccessful. So this is what I have going on, its a motor from a 93, ecu from a 91 m/t (which I have), gruesomely hacked wire harness from a 93 (different motor and know nothing about it really other than it used to have alot of goodies wired into it) ecu is throwing codes 34 and 21 which is knock sensor and ignition something. Any advise on why i'm not recieving fuel or spark and how I can fix the problem or a wire diagram with color code for the wires and component locations would be greatly appreciated. Right now my options are turning very quickly to a very expensive factory engine harness

i suggest to start chasing every wire down to see if it goes where it should. or pull a DE harness and put that in. fsm's are online with wiring diagrams. so get your multimeter out and let the good times roll.
