Unhook the harness to the fuel pump, and hook up a voltmeter to the positive wire on the harness connector. Ground it somewhere on the metal. Have someone turn on the key. Do you get any voltage reading at all?

If so, the wiring to the fuel pump after the harness is shot. Get some new wires and solder them on there.

If not, keep checking the wiring all the way back. Check the relay too.

Did it work at any time? Mayhaps you wired up the Black/Pink wire on the SR Brown Power Plug incorrectly.

Indeed, I would figure that it has to be a wiring issue - I very much doubt it could be anything other than improper installation/wiring, no offense intended SR. : ) Figured I"d just add a little to your post touchdown. : )

So when you turn the key on you get nothing. What about the relay? You havent mention if you checked to see if you were getting any power to the fuel pump yet. The funny thing is you disconnected your battery and it worked which leaves me to believe that you are getting power but the ignition relay which primes the fuel pump is not working correcly. Fuel pump relay-driver side by fuse box. Good luck.
