This truck sat idle for 2+ years, only being started/moved a few times to prevent tire rot and keep the seals in good condition. When I was prepping it for use it would not start, plenty of fire, just no fuel to the carb.

I tested the engine by putting a bit of gas in the carb and the engine started just like old times but would still not run due to no fuel from the gas tank/pump. Removed both hoses from the tank on top of the engine and turned the engine a few times....no fuel flow. Still under extended warranty so I had it towed to Nissan and they replaced the faulty fuel pump and I drove it home without incident.

It sat for about 1 week in my side driveway before I attempted to start it and the identical symptoms cropped up again. It would start by pouring fuel down the carb but no flow from tank. Had it towed to Nissan again and they could not find anything wrong with it. When it was backed off the tow truck they started it without a problem. They also could not replicate the problem while it was in their posession for over a week, ended up driving it home again. Within 3 - 4 days it failed to start again.....same problem. Of course it is now past the extended warranty period so......

Checked all wiring to the fuel pump, could siphon fuel through the gas lines so no blockage, installed a new fuel filter. Still no joy. I'm stumped. Shy of pulling the gas tank and fuel pump are there any suggestions you could offer for troubleshooting. No other posting/replys apply to this issue.

Check the voltage at the fuel pump; should be 12v.
