Sucks, ever since fix-it tickets rose to $25 in CA, I'm kinda hesitant on putting it on. I'm still riding with no plates though, heheh. How long can you ride with no plates, I hear you have 6 months to put your plates on from the day you buy your car brand new.

Instead of drilling into the front bumper, have you guys ever thought of THIS ? A nice solution to the problem.

I was just going to wait until I get mesh inserted into my fascia and ziptie the plate onto there

So does the company that made the one Dangeris posted. Check it out, its $180 but if you really wanted it, they make it. http://www.swiftmotorsports.co...8ab2

this is awesome. I actually had an idea of making something like this myself because I always get pulled over when traveling between cities for no front licenceplate. I end up having to ziptie my licenceplate to the fascia and it looks like crap. I'm definatly buying this, just not sure if Im gunna buy the motorized one or just go cheap and buy the maual one.

When I go back to Cali after I get out of the Air Force I am not going to put one on my front, screw that. If I get pulled over I might get that mod. How much is a ticket in cali running?

nice thing about the motorized one is if its connected to a toggle switch inside, you can just flip it up as soon as you get pulled over

hahaha The cops must be really upset if you do that. They gonna try to find something else illegal like tint, lights,etc.. and ticket you anyway

ya probably, I know this cop next to me was eyeing me down (windows down, she was turning right, i was going straight) she waited for me to go (even though she had plenty of opportunities to go b4 my light turned green... saw my tails and gave me a ticket

I think think license is just a $25 fix it

Those things scare the crap out of me, I've been flashed 2 or 3 times and was dreading the ticket coming in the mail... Thank god it never came though

LOL, how you think i felt when that thing went off when i was going thru it. I thought to myself, im not gonna get anything. Sure enough less than a week later i got the ticket! $420 before traffic school!!! Now i avoid that intersection at all costs and what sucks more is that its down the street from where i work so sometimes i have no option but to drive that way.

so I bought this thing mainly because I always get pulled over for no front licence plate and I ended up getting a ticket a couple of weeks ago. No I didnt buy the electric one, as cool as it looked I cant see myself spending almost 200 bux on a licence plate holder. reguardless It may just be the stillen Fascia, but Im having a hard time finding a decent place to mount it, since the bottom of the fascia in the center isnt flat (it angles up slightly) this thing needs to sit on a flat surface, also once I have it mounted, the only place I could find to put it, it has to sit a bit further up then I'd like, thus it's sticking out a bit, granted it's not horrible and Im probably just being really picky, and at least now I can drive with out worrying about getting pulled over for no front plate, if anyone else with a fascia bought or buys one of these things and finds a better place and way to mount it let me know!

anyways here's some quick crappy cell phone pix
