so i dropped in my ka24E i rebuilt...

i primed her all nice and good..

and now she cranks.. but doesnt start..its like ALMOST, (and it fires every once in a while.. ) but it just doesnt START..

i spent all day yesterday trying to get her started, and now im just lost

ive checked.. i have fuel, i have spark, i even made sure my distributor is set properly... (took it out, set the engine to TDC, put it bak in..)and im just confused as to what may be causing this..

Battery cranking amps 551 (so i know its good..)im gonna do a quick compression test tomorrow.. see if thats the problem...

Positive you got fuel? I thought I did as well. I had my fuel lines backwards. Go get some ether. And while someone cranks the engine spray a little bit into the intake. She if she fires up. Be careful because this can crack a piston if you spray too much. How new is your gas? could be bad and it's just not sparking? Got your plug wires in the correct location on the dizzy? Not a rag somewhere along the intake tubing is there? You got spark and fuel, so only thing needed is air....

woohoo.. got her running.. the timing was 180 degrees off.. and i fixed it by taking out the oil pump anf flipping the staft inside 180 degrees, and reinserting the distributor...
