Sounds crazy but I don't have money for new exhaust right know

Issue is , towards the back where the muffler connects to the pipe it is
Fully separated , both ends are still hanging in place but just broke in half

My question is , should I just remove the muffler ? Its the stock dual sided
Muffler for 2005 350z touring

I feel like the air flow is being blocked by the muffler because
Its not flowing strait through ,,,

Any advise is appreciated

Visit you local auto supply store and tell them you need an exhaust pipe repair. There are many product options for you, however none of them are long term solutions.

There is always some back pressure in mufflers, so given a chance to escape before the muffler, gases take the easy way out.

Exhaust will not affect oil pressure.

Most likely your oil pressure sensor is bad. The easiest way to tell is to turn the key to to the ACC position and see what the gauge does, I'm betting even without the motor running thatv the needle gets pegged.

I replaced mine a couple of years ago, I think the new sensor was $80 from the dealership parts counter. Don't go the cheap route and use one from an Infiniti G35, they are not the same. Both will alert the idiot light on the dash, but only the one for the Z will relay the pressure and accuate the gauge in the triple pod.

Welcome to NICO! :badger
