My car didnt pass The CA evap test when i went to get it smogged. he said i had a .999 leak or something. When he ran the smoke thru the evap lines to see where the leak was, it came from above the gas tank. thinking there was a leak in one of the return or recieving lines that connect to the fuel pump, i replaced them both. I still have to replace the other one though. but i was looking at another 240 today and there was a big line that went thru the fire wall that said "evap" on it. i looked at mine and i just have a cover over it. anyone know why? 91 coupe, ka24de i have the evap canister idk whats going on.

I looked at a pic I have of a 240sx vert, and those look like the caps for when you have no A/C. for the lines to the evaporator.

I went out and looked at mine which has had the A/C torn out in the name of saving weight and I have two connectors there for A/C lines. So most likely your car didn't come with the option and its just one less thing to worry about.

those are for the a/c lines high and lothe evap hardline is on the driver side and the hoses travel from there to the intake manifold.
