Well i aquired a pretty hacked up sr20 swapped 92 240sx, its running a dual cam ka MAF and smic off a dsm...
I cannot get the ecu to throw any codes and there is no dash light behind the check engine light on the dash....
I know i should have at least one code becasue my idel air control unit dosnt work
the ecu says Remanufactured By Nissans ECU or something to the matter on it....my engine is a 94 redtop
I am still kind of new to nissans...I have done plenty of swaps from ca18's to rb25's but i rarley have any troubles and so i figured this car would be a good learning experiance...
Its a blast to drive but dosnt have much poop until around 3600rpms, feels as if the car is in a safe mode of sorts, but i dont know if nissans has a safe mode....it beat my buddys 310rwhp conquest and a few other cars, but my girlfriend is quite sure her stock srt4 will beat me, and i would bet she could....
to get some nice smooth power out of the car i turned the timming up to 20 degrees
I even pulled valve cover and check the timming marks on gears and re-aligned the cps...all the same
My idel are control valve appears not to work, and i have an ignition miss at idel...its not bad, the tach dosnt show the miss, but when timming the motor i see it, and i can hear it
what happens if u try and adjust the knob on the ecu? i know thats how u check codes but what if you move its position for running??
I have searched and tried a few things, but nothing came up...
Maybe I'm being paranoid....I have a mr2 that did 448rwhp 455tq on 14psi, and we are going for 600-700rwhp when its all said and done with my new cams and 85lb injectors +120shot
And i have a 1st gen dsm, which i mob around alot, with a little under 300awhp,
So maybe i just need to install the safc+supra pump+nismo regulator+supra fmic+gt28rs dual BB with ceramic turbine which i have sitting in our apartment and boost this *****....but becasue of my experiance i feel as if something is still wrong on this car
thanks a ton
