No Driving For Three Weeks!

I was watching my friend's band play on Friday July 18th (http://www.stskillsit.cjb.net) and I fell, causing the snapping of a ligament on my foot as well as a chip fracture. Got to the doctor today and got a cast for 3 weeks...not too bad, but still 3 weeks of no driving! Oh yeah, its my right foot, so its not like I can drive my Dad's Tacoma either.

I wanted to get a pink cast, but I guess I just don't have a big enough set to walk around with a pink leg for three weeks. It would have been funny though.

Worse thing is that I don't have anything to work on with my car...and since I won't be working for basically the rest of the summer, I won't have any income to buy parts.

It might still be possible to drive the car with your right foot broken you would jsut have to use your whole leg to push on the accelerator though. and you might have to use your other foot to brake. I'm sure it can be done

Yeah I haven't attempted to drive...I was thinking the same thing though. However I dislike driving with shoes on, and I believe a rock solid cast will be a tad bit harder as far as pedal feel goes.

MaterMan, don't worry about it, I could sell my pills if I wanted, but since I went the day after I actually broke my foot, I only got 15 Vicoden (sp?) 7/750. I'm down to about 10 now, and intend to use the other on upcoming drinking nights...Thanks for the offer though.

Vicoden isnt worth crap...I tried taking that stuff when I hurt myself snowboarding, extra strength ibuprofen worked SOOO much better for killing the pain.

Yeah same here. I'm offended whenever a Dr. offers me the stuff. If you get a really good injury you can get Tylox, which, from what I understand, is a Class 3 narcotic, and every single pill gets paper-trailed by the govt. Amazing stuff. It doesn't take the pain away. It makes the pain feel good, like a massage almost.
