So went and bought a new starter yesterday, tried to start, nothing (same problem). Buddy of mine went to go supply power directly to the solenoid on the starter and put it in the wrong spot and fried the starter. Not that big of a deal as I’ll just go exchange it. I will try spinning the engine from the crank when I get home from work today. If it does spin and I rule out a seized motor do you have any exact suggestions that I haven’t already tried? How would. I go about (if possible) testing the ignition switch because I still believe that may be my problem at hand. Thanks!VStar650CL wrote: ↑Fri Mar 31, 2023 9:24 amPut juice directly to the solenoid terminal. If it doesn't spin, the problem has to be in the starter main cable, the starter itself, or the engine is seized. There are really only those three choices. If it does spin, then the problem is upstream in the relay, ignition switch, start circuit fuse, etc.
