I'm sure you'll have fun with the sedan just as much as the coupe. Just the looks on the coupe are different.

Everything option is available for both.

Sedan will work fine as you can get more people in it.

Congrats! Make sure to get a carfax!!Also, get them to come down to $10,500 and replace those headrests - don't think I would want my head hitting them if I were in an accident....

the sedan is lighter, faster, and practical. i had the choice of either and chose the sedan. Your parents have the right idea.

i personaly like the stock shape... plus i want my car to look stock... i dont want to look fast and be a cop magnet, or any where close to the honda ricer look... some people on here have some very tasteful body kits on sedans... my money will go to performance over looks.

Not sure why the 'rents said that...the sedan makes it easier for friends to tag along with you.

That could be something you could argue with 'em. The difference between the sedan/coupe is not really in HP...if you get a 6MT in a sedan your getting pretty much the same thing as the coupe.

+1 to this

I think as it is the G35/37 is a very nice looking car. Just say no to the look and spend that money on performance.

Also, I know there is a nice write-up on the sedan and how it performs just as well if not better than the coupe. I can go digging if you want me to find it or I'm sure someone has the write-up.

i considered an older M3 (2000-2004) also as well as an 2007 wrx sti limited. you are right about the m3 needing to be at the dealer all the time. that should be a huge consideration in buying any car. I didnt get a bmw because i didnt want to pay for the maintence, plus you cant do as much DIY stuff on a bmw. that took a big aspect of owning a performance car away for me personally. While the G35 is a "near luxury" car... its still a nissian... so parts are cheaper and more widely avaliable. then the biggie for me was i can install most parts my self, and get the full enjoyment of owning a G35. Then if you just talking money i couldnt find a better car IMO in the "near luxury" catagory for the price.

In my opinion the G35 4 door is a Very practical car.. I do love my coupe but I have to say Its not the most practical car. I would defiantly recc. sticking with nissan, cannot beat how reliable they are and parts are everywhere.. Go with the stillen exhaust if you decide on the sedan

Well honestly, Working at Toyota and seeing it next to the Lexus line, and compared to Nissan/Infiniti I've noticed that the 2 main differences between the two are interior options (leather, sat nav, etc etc) and the excess of plastic engine covers.
