alright, when my cam sprocket bolt backed off and i bent my #3 intake valves, my #1 cylinder registered 20..

now, im thinking it could just be from the timing getting throwed off when that happened because it turned over the same way as when my distributor timing was off.

i'm hoping it didnt kill my rings or something like that, but i'm not sure, i just want some feedback before i get to work swapping motors. i believe in my block, the day before it happened it was running better than it ever has, i really dont see the bottom end just going under on a sunday cruise sitting at idle at a redlight, but.. i may be wrong

Check the piston tops for any possible cracks. If all seems OK, rebuild the head and set your cam/ignition timing. If it runs OK, do a compression test on all cylinders to see how good the motor is.
