I just swapped my 91 KA with 257k miles on it for a 96 with 67k.

Everything went fine untill I hooked up the slave cylinder. I never disconnected the hose to release hydrolic pressure so I have no clue why I lost pressure at all. So I figured since I have no pressure its a good time to replace it. So I got a new slave and a new master cylinder hooked them up and tried to bleed it. This leads me to my question, what is the proper way to get all the air out of my system?

If you still have the damper box in your system follow this guide - http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=251959 . It will make it much easier to bleed the system.

do a description step by step, in my case i point to the seals on the cylinders, i had that issue, dissasembled the cylinders, found a lil scratch on the slave, wetsanded it, put new seals on the cylinders, its SUUUPER easy and worked great, until today no problems whatsoever, even the master was rebuild by me Total noob, but could also be the Pressure plate but in ur case u gotta describe more.

If you ask me get rid of the dampener box, which has been discussed multiple times here, then a straightforward bleed should have you good to go.

The dampener gets gummed up, difficult to bleed, and serves little if any useful purpose.

Awesome guys thanks alot,I will try that as soon as I get home, I'm almost posotive thats the problem because it has little pressure but not enough to push into gear while the car is running.

Thank you all so much, I'll post tomorrow with the end results in case anybody was wondering.

HI, I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY CLUTCH (UNSTABLE PRESSURE) AND I'M JUST WONDERING WHY IS IT ALWAYS ENDED UP IN REMOVING OR BYPASSING THE DAMPENER BOX. WHY IS IT IN THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE IF IT'S NOT NEEDED. I'D LIKE TO DO IT MYSELF COZ IT LOOK EASY BUT JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THOUGH THAT IT IS THE RIGHT APPROACH TO MY PROBLEM. THANKS

The box is there to dampen vibrations. I didn't notice a difference when I removed mine. The box has a valve that gets gummed up pretty consistantly, causing intermittant problems.

Get rid of it, rebleed several times, and all will be well with your clutch.

I used one of the long steel braided clutch lines that goes straight from the master to the slave when I deleted the dampener box. I have never felt confident about bending steel lines beyond a certain point as the risk of kinking the line would not be worth the head ache.Very simple and straightforward to install and bleed/service the hydraulic system. Now the clutch pedal feels as it should.
