Hello everyone,I'm new to the site and I was hoping I could get some help. I recently bought a 2005 Nissian Altima 3.5 SE with a bose 6 disc cd changer with navigation. I love the car but I recently discovered that my cd's names or track names will not display. I pressed the audio button for the track display option but for any CD I play, it keeps saying no track name or No CD name. The CD's play fine however so it seems that the bose system is reading the CD's fine. Does anyone have any idea's?

i have a similar problem with my 09 altima coupe 3.5 SE non bose system... it wont show the titles of my CDs either... i gave up on it though and just use my mp3 player... if there's a way to fix it, then that'd be awesome.

The names will display on the nav unit if the CD is burned properly. I have several CD's that will display the name/artist & I think that I used Roxio to do that.

When I used Windows or iTunes to burn the CD's the names will not display.

I have not tried Nero yet.

and - no luck with store bought CD's ... I've been able to get the names/artist to display with the CD's I've burned myself.

Keep trying - it does work!!!

Not all CD's contain the track information within the song when they are originally created....some CD's will, some won't, depending on the Record company.

If you are burning a CD, make sure you have the ID3 tag updated properly, and it should burn through with a good CD burning program.

Thanks for pointing that out ... I should have mentioned it as well... Yes, the songs need the ID3 tags.

I've used CDex for years for ripping the songs off of the CD, converting to MP3 & adding the ID3 data automatically. (Free Download - Free to use)

You can get it here:
