lol no way how would he be getting those numbers?
ITBs, probably around 13:1 compression, bored and stroked, custom big cams, port and polish, custom exhaust. The works. You can do this to your motor if you want, but everything that I listed is custom work, hence the reason everyone always says "just get a TT". You can get the same power numbers for like $6k, instead of spending over $20k for custom parts.

^^ Yep, a custom setup to be sure but then again, from my experiences growing up making power engine mods like head work, cams, etc. is a basic first step to real power, not the systems they sell for inflated bucks these days for relatively minimal gains.

If someone is rich and just throws money at their car they could do this for certainly many thousands of dollars, but guys with speed connections and the ability to trade for or get quality used speed parts are able to do so for much less especially if they are able to do much of the work themselves.

For those newer here who haven't seen this car here's the address:

It's the "Sano's Z" post, with parts and stats for the car.The closeup of the engine is my desktop pic...MMmmmmmmmm....

All 2.5" there was a noticible difference with the headers and test pipes and again when I added the catback. Probably not much hp wise given its a n/a but it does rev noticibly quicker.
I've found much the same with my hi-flow setup (have cats, no headers), the engine runs far cooler, revs quicker and runs about 500-1,000 RPM less at higher speeds than previously (over 60), and needless to say sounds very nice compared to stock or other raspy systems I've seen and heard.

There's no way that's possible.

Being loud can be justified if your car is fast. But being loud and slow is ricey, IMO. The horsepower you'll free up will likely be not much.
Old thread but being loud isn't good whether you're fast or quick or cruising... Unless you're a drag, It's all about sound quality.

I have Magnaflow mufflers, cats and xpipe with custom 26" drone branch resonators. Plus the usual JWT POP charger, aluminum intake and it's sounds great!
