I know you're thinking yeah right, but wait. I was watching this Myth Busters show on Discovery, and they were talking about the whole JATO bottle '67 chevy off a cliff thing. Well, to test this myth, they took a '66 Impala (yes, it had hydraulics) and welded three solid fuel rocket engines on the roof. Each one of the rockets created 1500 lbs of thrust. At 2hp per lb, you get 9000hp! And for all you neanderthals who swear by Chevy, even with over 9k ponies, it still only did just over 150mph. Give me a steep hill and a good tailwind, and I betcha I can top that.
