OK my Brake lights wont come on when the brake pedal is pushed. Yet there is no power to the brake pedal switches. The fuse is not blown and my tail lights come on with light switch normally. the chilton's manual i have shows nothing between the fuse and the switches. i have no clue what it could be. Please any suggestions or help would be great. Thanks in advance

There IS or IS NOT power to the switch? Also, did you recently replace your bulbs? I ask because sometimes the wrong bulb is used, and if the filiment is incorrect or a different variation it can produce your results.

Ok check your rear lights contacts, sometime you can get rust on those contacts and your running lights will come on but your brake lights will not. just take a small screw driver and scratch the contacts a little so you can get some contact and if it's not that check your brake switch, it's under your dash where your brake pedal is at..some times the plastic piece will fall off and your switch will not function. thats all i can think off right now...good luck

yes i changed the lights when i first got the car. it has worked perfectly since until i took out my digital gauge to try and replace the faulty capacitor. me nor my friend jarrett (cracka400) could get the capacitor to bond to the circuit board. so i put in a analog cluster they stopped working when i dis-assembled my dash. i will try the terminals next. but i do NOT have power to any of the four wires that are attatched to my brake switches on my brake pedal. yet the stop lamp fuse is showing power going through it. i have no clue guys...

Well, it sounds like there's really only one thing to do. Trace the wires back and find out where you're losing power.

Tug on the wires by the brake light switch,i have seen the wires broken inside the insulation more than a few times.
