When ever I turn my boost up past 5psi my turbo does not boost anyhigher then 2psi, my vacum reads 0 mmHg at idle to, is it supposed to be higher, it was reading 10mmHg before I put in my fmic. What could this be?

vac should be like -20 IIRC... your wastegate spring should be set to 7psi, so it shouldnt be possible to boost less than that. Sounds to me like a major leak in your intercooler pipes

when u say turn boost to, you using a boost controller or jsut thats how much u accelerate. and the vac should read what cyber said at idle, only time it should be at 0 is when car is off

When I got my car back from the shop that did my swap my car was only boosting 5psi. That was when I still had the sidemount intercooler. At that time the boost gauge was reading 10mmhg at idle. I have a turboxs dual stage boost controller. Could there be something wrong with my turbo. And why does it boost fine at 5psi and nothing over that, maybe my boost gauge is wrong? Also is the turbo loud on your cars, on my car you can hear the turbo spool up I mean you almost can't hear the exhuast when it starts boosting, but on my buddies Eclips you can't hear nothing at all.

the turbo sound really comes from an intake. if the stock airbox is on the eclipse, its gonna be kinda quiet.

but, the gauge should read vacuum at idle, if its not then there is something wrong with the gauge [like bad vac hose connection] try making sure the gauge is properly connected and also check the vac hose from the manifold to the boost controller to the wastegate, and last but not least, check the connections of the intake pipe tract [turbo-fmic-throttle]

Vacuum lines are vacuum lines man, it shouldn't be wrong unless you hook it up to the radiator....From what I'm remember, from your TB, one should be going to your intercooler pipe, I would say cold pipe because it's the closest to it. One should be plugged up, one should be going to your boost controller, and one...big one, I think that's the way that goes to the black canistor will be connected to your BOV. I might be wrong but I'm about 99% positive that your vacuum line is not wrong. Could be your turbo but I have doubts that it would be yoru turbo.Try to check your piping and find hole(s) in your intercooler, that's the only reason I can think of. I just saw your sig and you are from st. paul, if you can't figure it out, try to go to Purpulshun Autosports on University and Pascal and talk to Ron, he should know what's wrong with it cause I did my swap there and we learned a lot, but that's only if you can't find what's wrong yourself and call it a quit. Or maybe bring it back to the shop wher eyou got your motor installed and ask him what's wrong...

I found out just found out that my bov was leaking, when I put my fingers on the holes I could feel it sucking. So I guess that should fix it. My psi also went to 12mmhg when idling. But it seemed like when i tapped the throttle lightly the needle goes down to like 13 or 14 mmhg, Is this normal.

That is up, but yes the vacuum should drop when you blip the throttle.
