no bass from ipod in car

so i got this cheap wire for 5bucks from walmart to play my ipod in the car. it just plugs in the top of the ipod and into the back of my cdplayer, the problem is that theres no bass at all. is there a way to fix this? or should i get a good fm transmitter? this runs through the radio also but i dono anything aobut this

You mean like an mini-jack to RCA cable? That shouldn't be the problem.

Either check the equalizer setting on the ipod or your settings on the CD player.

what about the eq on the ipod? what should it be on?

We need more info. What kind of adapter? FM modulator? Wired or wireless? 3.5mm headphone jack to RCA?
