no audio problem please help

my 96 SE has no sound coming from any of the speakers. The cd deck is wired correct and powers up and works except none of the 6 speakers make a sound, i checked the fuses, speakers, wiring, anyone have any idea what the problem might be??

rewire the whole car? thats what i did. sometimes its just easier.

If you have a stock amp and dont have it wired you will have no sound.

You have to wire the blue wire from the radio to whatever the stock amp wire color is.

or if it's an aftermarket headunit with a built in amp like mine is you have to bypass the stocke amp cuz te head unit will fry it tryin to push power through it best buy fryed mine it worked for like a day then went out and they said it wasn't there fault thats wha i get for being lazy

just re-wire you audio system. its not hard. and its perfect for an afternoon/night when you dont have anything to do.

no it hasnt worked at all yet since the radio was installed

Okay can you answer these questions right quick?

Is it factory or aftermarket HU?Who installed it?Do you have a Bose or other factory premium sound system?

IF aftermarket:What brand is it?How was the HU harness wired to the car harness?Has anything been done to the factory speakers?

Also, what is the make model and year of your car?

With the answers I can prolly help you out. shouldnt take but a short schematic response to you.

check it out its an aftermarket HU... Pioneer,stock 6 speaker audio system with stock amps in trunk.all speakers are original and check out oki dont see anything that says Bose.......the HU was wired with compression fittings utilizing a wiring harness from best buy, the constant, switched and ground are wired and the radio has lights,power and is acting normally,all 8 speaker wires are connected properlythe car is a 1996 fully loaded(power everything,abs,vicous LSD, ABS,ect) 240SX SEi never wired any switch or anything going to the amp, i dont know what color that would be....
