No AM reception

I'm getting no AM reception but the FM is fine. I just bought this 1991 240sx HB and don't know the history. There is a power antenna which comes on/off when i turn radio on or if I turn the ignition off or push eject or play program. the model is PN-9527C.The antenna power line is black/red and it is connected to radio. The round black antenna plug is plugged in. The cassette player is screwed . I can't even fit a cassette in.

the deck is shot so that’s that, the only way to fix it will be an electronic shop to fix it, a good 100+ bucks might as well get a new deck
