No ABS?

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking for a while now. My wife and I are shopping for a small econocar and are liking the Versa. I took one for a test drive and liked it. We want a 6 speed, and keep finding cars with every option chosen except ABS. Is there any reason why none of the S cars have the optional ABS package? Has there been some sort of availability issue with the ABS?

Curious in Knoxville.

in the early models ABS was only an option, but I think its going to become a standard feature in '10 models, I have ABS on my S and its an '07....

My 09 6 speed didn't have ABS also. It seemed around here most of the autos had ABS thou.

My 09 6-speed has ABS. The 1.6 BASE and another 1.6 that I drove had the optional ABS. both were 5-speeds. The other 20-some Versa on the local lots were about 50/50 on ABS. Most were autos.

I have an SL and don't even have ABS. No big deal though. I can safely drive without it.

Don't have ABS, but can drive fine without it. Next time I get a new car, I'll want ABS.
