just went to get my car inspected last week and found out all coupes wont need inspection until at least 2013. Went in, showed my paperwork, got a new sticker, and drove out - 5 minute process. guess well have to wait till next year to see if well pass with y pipes.

Im not sure thats true. I received an extension to 2012, not 2013. There were two "lots" of 2008 models IIRC, first lot manufactured between 04/2007 and 07/2007 and the second lot is anytime after that. I have a feeling if you are in the first lot, like me, you might not get extended past 2012.

Is there a way to tell which lot my 08 is in?

^I entered my VIN into Courtesyparts.com database (I think, it might have been another site) for a parts check and it lets you know. It might also be on the label in the driver side door jam, not sure.

Whatever your current inspection sticker says, add a year to it. It has nothing to do with your VIN. For example, mine was due for 5/12, and now I'm due for 5/13. And heres the article from the DMV if you're interested:

Interesting. Well, since I bought the car in 2007, I was initially tagged 4 years from 8/2007 through 8/2011, and only got the year to 8/2012. If you were initially tagged to 5/2012, that means it was first tagged in 5/2008, and you got the year to 5/2013. My car first lot tagged in 2007, your car second lot tagged in 2008.
