My girlfriend has a 2005 Altima SE-R. After taking it to many different places to get work done, I've convinced her to do the work ourselves (by ourselves i mean Myself.)

It was previously taken to a really chitty mechanic that put ATF in the 6sp Manual trans. After drainins and refilling a few times at a different shop, it still was not the right fluid.
She is experiencing a tough shifting feel and i blame the fluid. The clutch master, slave, flywheel and pressure plate/disc combo are all new. Also, these shops have since stripped the fill/drain plugs.
I bought the proper oil from the dealer (75w90 GL5 is what I was told is correct)

It's hard to find literature on this car so I come to you guys wondering, How many quarts does it take (i understand to fill to the bolt hole but approx how much is that so i buy enough)?
What's the best way to get the stripped plugs out? There are two different part numbers for plugs on courtesy nissan, i bought both just in case but what is the difference?
Also where can i download the FSM?

I don't come on that often so my responses will be slow but any/all input is appreciated. Thanks.

UPDATE: i have recieved the trans bolts. The se-r seems to be the same as the se bolt with minor differences. The ser bolt has a magnet in it. Also the ser bolts are stainless steel rather than galvinized steel like the se. The threads are the same (pitch and depth).
But one major MAJOR difference is the price. The SE bolt is $6.12 each. The SE-R bolt is $2.46 each.

Buy the SE-R bolts and save yourself the hassel and money.

Good that you got it figured out! For future reference, here is the link to the FSMs we have for the Altima:

For future reference the Nissan gear oil isn't quite garbage but it isn't very good either. Plenty of primarily cold shifting issues from the get go. The only gear oil that I know of that works well in the 6MT is Redline MT85 and the capacity is just under 3qts. Using the side drain and fill holes will get you exactly how much you need into it.
