nothings "wrong with them" but they suffer from over-advertising syndrome....making a decent product and touting it as the absolute best ****ing thing around...
I got a friend with them, and he loves them....but then again, thats going form pep-boys tires to toyo's. for the money of a toyo, I'd get a yokohama or something...
oh yeah, yokohama=advan(japan)in case your wondering.
toyos to me rate like a falken, good performance but lsightly outdated materials and things keep them from being top notch, but they do provide a price conscious solution...
I would rhater put on a falked Ze-512 tho.....a lot of integras I ahve put them on swear they do better on water than their FZ4's...and they are cheaper.
lets see, if I had to rank them(for performance tire AKA grip limit) I would rank them as follows:1. pirelli P-Zero. accept no imitations.2. yokohama AVS sport -or- a032R(put on a lotus recently, loves them)3. michelin Mxx3 (dicontinues in the US, can still get them from germany)4. Bridgestone s-03 pole position5. BF goodrich G-force TA KD and R1's6. Dunlop sp9000 (a little flimsy at the absolute limit...great overall tho)
then theres everyone else.....hehe. toyo's T-1s is apparently pretty good for the money, but I';ve heard a few griped about noise after it wears a bit...
also, note that the AVS sports and S-03's can be swapped places. the s-03 will ride better, and not be quite as loud, but the AVS sport will do a bit better in absolute dry limit handling.
this is all based on experience. if you ahve a tire you like, stick to it...it probably fit the way you drive..-chet
