Hey Guys

About a month ago i got some Nitto Terra Grapplers for my 2002 qx4. So far they have been an unbelievable tire. Quite on pavement with amazing grip. Deep snow and ice have been unbelieve too. Even in 2wd.

I am just unsure what tire pressure to keep them at. I am running stock rims and size. Inside the drivers door says 30 psi, and the tires say 35 psi Max. I am currently running 33 Psi.

I am noticing my truck is worse on gas ever since i bought these tires. Could it just be the fact they are more aggressive? Or should I be running a higher PSI? Any suggestions?

Is it dangerious to go higher then what the door says or higher then the "max psi" on the tire?

Thanks!

Its probably not too safe to go over max psi on the tire, especially since the pathfinder isnt a light car, i mean on some honda civic the tire would easily handle a bit over the max psi. And generally your good going over what the sticker says. i have hankook ventus rh07;s on my 20;s and i run them i think 32-33 also. sometimes maybe 31,

you have to put into account on the fuel additives they put in the fuel during winter time that will jsut devastate our MPG

tire pressure is a combination between tire wear and comfort. Most door stickers list the tire pressure that will give the best ride with the OE tire size and load rating. Are the grapplers the same in every way to the OE tire? If they are heavier than the OE tire, that could affect mileage.

As far as what PSI you should run, that is up to you. What is best for comfort? What is best for tire wear? Also, max psi is cold psi. 32-33 should be fine.

Winter gas is horrible and will return lower mpg than summer gas, not to mention the extra idling in the morning.

^^ what he said. 32-33 PSI is what I run on my tires, my moms tires, and my girlfriends van :rotfl
