Hey guys,

Im considering getting Nitrous. No not to be rice or anything but to have a better chance of blowing my motor and get a rb from my local shop. So anyways What are you thoughts on nitrous and what kit do you guys think is best ?

Please dont flame me for my choice. It is a choice and im just asking opinions.

Nitrous is the best bang for the buck mod you can do, just make sure you read up on it really well and make sure you know everything you can about how it works before you use it ;)

Get a bigger fuel pump and a 150 shot and call it a day. The ka will blow over time. Might take a few bottles but hay youll run 13s.

well, a 150 shot will last you several years.

Just don't go crazy (like my motor) and you'll be fine

no.you can run a 150 on a stock bottom end.I do recommend the Walbro or NOS 255 LPH fuel pump though, as well as using all the safety equipment that comes with your nitrous kit.

I ran the compcar setup for well over a year. The only problem I had was it kept locking up the timing chain tensioners.

I am gonna spray my car. I might spray as big as a 75 some, but mostly just a nice 35 or 50.

Hows he setting the system up? some kind of collar to go around the intake pipe ? I've seen a kit called Cry-o2 that freezes a small bulb thing thats placed in the intake tract.

Compressed co2 flowing through a ring on the the intake tract sounds like a good plan....supercool the ring, which in turn cools the intake charge. Hmm...and all the stuff can be bought locally. This sounds like a cool project.

Most likely not in auto-x, too many turns, engine is in the low rpms for alot of it. Road racing...maybe if there are alot of straights and you're crazy.

If you use nitrous the way it is supposed to be used, it's perfectly safe. Nitrous just has a bad rep from documentries like The Fast and the Furious. I recommend reading up on the systems by going to their sites and like gounc14 said, read up on nitrous itself and the individual systems so you fully understand how nitrous/ systems work.

Once you're done with your research, then start shopping for deals on the one you want.

Dry=cheaper but less HP potential.

Wet=More expensive but more power.

Do you know the actual technical difference between the two?
