 Im intrested in puting nitrous in my 240. Yes i have read the FAQ'S page but I want to get info from people using the stuff and or people knowing about it. My car is a 1991 hatchback with 45k original miles the only sucky part is its an auto. Anyways i have I/H/E and i want to do a 50 shot of zex and run it dry. This car is a daily driver and im only talkin about using the nitous maybe twice a week. Does this sound ok. If anyone likes this setup or would do it differently let me know. Also id like to find out if people use nitrous how long have they had it in the car and did it do any damage.......Im not intrested in blowing up my car!!!!!!!!. If anyone can tell me how much thier 1/4's have changed to id be interested thanx

well the setup souids fine for what you say your using it for, but I certainly wouldn't go with the ZEX kit that relies entirely on a signal from your TPS to run...

If it were my car I would be using Nitrous Express or Nitrous Oxide Systems for the kit. Their kits have been proven, and don't have problems with the TPS splicing required of the ZEX kits.

Insetad of splicing into the TPS wires, these kits run off of a wide open throttle switch mounted so that the throttle wing (where the cables are attached to) to press a momentary button and activate the system.

nitrous is the best way to go man trust me good choice now u say u want some suggestions... definatly do NOT go with the zex nitrous system its the worst system out there u can onlt boost up to a 75 shot of nitrous dry and nothing else that system was not designed for someone who turns around and says i want more nitrous trust me i went though it all. i have a nos setup and ite the best at first i was squimish about putting juice in it espically since it was a sohc with 150,000 miles on it naturally since ive gotten it i have gone to a 125 shot wet running 14.9 in the quarter with a 100lbs system in the hatch and now at 175,000 miles!!!! Nissan built them right the first time trust me these motors can handle lots of power. so my suggestion is use the nos system or if u want u can use the nitrous express system just make sure u research it first i dont know about them. and also HAVE FUN :)

yes.my old KA was holding 500 hp of nitrous, with a built automatic. (I still have the transmission if anyone needs it) and went 13.50 on a 200 shot. With the 500 on the car we never took a full pass down the track, but it would burst an LS1 driver's bubble from a stop.

ok so say a choose a nx express kit with a 50-75hp dry shot......my motor can still hold that horse i guess? What other things would i need to change in order to run the system.....a bigger fuel pump, injectors, spark plugs, ignition......im not sure what i would need(for the NX system its oporated at a button right? Are you holding the button down the whole time you want to use it or are you just pushing it once and releasing) thanx

I'd be happy to make you a deal on the transmission, although shipping will be an issue due to weight. The transmission has 32k miles since it was rebuilt with the new clutches and pumps. Yor stock torque convertor will work with it, or I can send my Masters Convertor along with it. It is a 2k RPM convertor instead of the stock 900 RPM. Unfortunately, my custom 4500 RPM convertor is not for sale as we will be putting another bottle fed 240 together shortly.

If you can come up with a good way to ship it to Long Island from Houston I'll let you have the transmission for $125 plus shipping costs.
