I searched the site for NISTUNE info before i posted this but came up short, didnt seem like there was much info out there..
I just purchased a Greddy profec Boost Controller and im about to get a set of the megan racing offroad downpipes and test pipes. With these I know i will need a solid tune.. and JWT and Z1 from what i can tell run a cookie cutter tune thats super rich. So far NISTUNE looks to be the most promising.
Anybody running it? and what should i expect from a fresh Z with Z1 stage 2 lightweight clutch/flywheel, running 12-14lb boost, cool air intake, downpipes, and test pipes with a good solid tune?
-Thanks!

NIStune is a pretty awesome program. that being said you have to know how to use it. the fuel and timing tables are very tricky and take a good eye to understand. i say this because i bought the type 2 board over a year ago and still have not gotten it 100%. you could prob survive with a chip from Z1, there pretty spot on with them. until you up the boost a ton and do injectors etc I would not get NIStune. also to get a proper tune you will need a good wideband set up to measure your a/f.
just my opinion.... but good luck.

Don't spend your money on Nistune until you've modified your motor much more.

As far as what to expect in HP, that depends on the shape of your motor, compression, etc.

Take your time and do some good research on things like 740cc injectors, dual intake, freshen up or larger turbos and intercooler upgrades. At that time, you can weigh out whether you want Nistune (or Haltech in my opinion) or just have someone write you a tune (use Ztuner.com or Specialty Z, stay away from Z1 if you can IMO)

Good luck!
