NIStune AEM UEGO WB gauge and Windows Vista = WTF MAN!!!!!

so i bought Nistune and i bought my AEM WB gauge

my laptop has Vista, and it doesnt have hyperterminal which is what u use ot read on ur laptop...

and when i hook my gauge to my laptop, it ask for the CD/ drivers for it....which the gauge doesnt come wiht anything just the gauge equipment...wtf man

anyone know what i can do...?

Check on AEM's and Nistune's site they should have updated software for Vista that you can download.

ive done all three...waiting on replies, im still waiting on my acct to be activated on nistunes site so i can search and reply there... i was just wondering if anyone here could give me a quicker answer, im not new to forums or search...when the net is flooded with ill stuff i cant use, it makes traking ish down a lot harder than a simple search...

just install a partition with 98 or xp on your hardrive.

you can get a netbook. they run about 300 bucks and come with xp. and they will fit in your glovebox. its just a really small laptop that has a solid state hard drive.

heartofaskyline - yeah im not buying a second lap top... WB ran me 200 and Nistune close ot 400...and i already have a laptop, i cant afford to buy another one...

mind you it is too late partition your hard drive unless you wan't to reinstall everything on your computer and back up any data you want to save to an external hard drive or cd/dvd. but none the less here is the explanation of what ZX88 suggested.

partitioning is dividing your hard drive(the storage device rated in gigabytes,GB) into segments which act as though they are each their own hard drive, each of these is called a partition. So, you can create a new partition and install a different operating system on it such as XP and be able to boot XP or Vista.

email matt at nistune he should be able to help you out with anything. When you downloaded the new version do you add the wideband section?? If that doesnt help I can always put something up on the board for you those guys are amazingly helpful.

I just searched the boards for you and didn't come up with anything yet il keep looking for you though.

I just searched the boards for you and didn't come up with anything yet il keep looking for you though.[/QUOT] i serached the boards myself after a while of searching and cound a thread about it thats over a year old, and it led no where for me, the links to the solutions were old and no longer worked ( for me anyway) , so i posted on the thread, hopefully Matt can help me out, so far an questions ive had have been answered pretty promptly but i understand people are busy, so patience is a virtue ATM...
