Nistech, quick question on '96 Pathy

Hopefully it's a quick one. A buddy has a '96 Pathfinder in the shop with a missing cylinder. They said it was a bad wire, but they also want to replace the ignitor. I thought these had a simple distributor/plug wire system, or is there something special on there for the OBDII? I did a NICO/Google search but couldn't find anything. Thanks much.

not a quick easy answer cause I am racking my brain trying to visualize the 3.3L secondary ignition system and I am also seening the 3.0L but I think you are correct I believe the coil is in the distributor.

Wait It is I happen to have one laying in my cart at work for test purposes. the coil is incorrperated into the distributor.

Thanks. Funny cause they specifically wanted to replace the #3 pick up coil. I'll have him look into it.
